The snow has cleared so I will get to go out and walk for the next 4 days!! Finals are coming up and I will studying like crazy!!

All the snow today was really putting me in the mood!! I was real excited about this blog hop because I have been wanting to find the time to make this project!! I got all the yarn 3 years and had the idea to make it many years before that.

I used 6 skeins of the rug yarn and the 3 inch pom pom maker.

I used an old thread spool as my center to tie all my pom poms together to give my snowman stability.

Here is my Pom Pom Snowman!! His eyes, nose and mouth are wool. I gave him a wool scarf and top hat! He has rusty star buttons and a little rusty tree on the brim of his hat.

Snowing again and POMPOMs!!

 There won't be any walking since its snowing again. This was how it looked outside when I woke up. Its still snowing and there is at least 2 inches now.  Here are my pom poms for my post later this evening. Hope the white pom poms didn't bring the snow!!

Trying to lose weight!!

I used to stand on my feet 8 -10 hours a day constantly moving around but I haven't been doing that since August. So I put on about 15lbs, on someone 5'0 thats alot. There is a lake within in walking distance of us with a trail going around it, so on all the nice days we have I try to go walk. If I walk around it twice its 3 miles. The scenery is beautiful along with all the wild life. I plan to walk everyday this summer. Hopefully this will help me shed these 15lbs and I will be back in all my clothes again!!

There are lots of geese and ducks but this was the first I saw a crane here. You can tell its still winter here. I can't wait for spring!!

Got a track meet for my daughter today. Made the girls on the team muffins, as you see my daughter already snatched 2 before I could pack them up.

Boom Fireworks and Applesauce muffins!!

Made some applesauce muffins this morning!! I have been working on some Americana/ Patriotic items for this summer and the PomPom Blog Hop!! Here are two of the fire works I have been working on.

I really like the boom tag, trying to be a little more creative!! I really like the striped fabric with all the old blue cracks in it!!

Butterfly's!!

It was so cold and snowing here yesterday. I sure wish spring would get here. I thought I would try making some butterflies!!

April Showers Mug Rug Blog Hop!!

I wanted to create some spring inspired Mug Rugs. I loved this fabric with these beautifully colored floral seed packets.

I used a few pieces of my Homer Laughlin china that I was given after my fathers passing. It was given to my grandmother by my grandfathers parents at the birth of my father in 1947. I love the pretty pink flower pattern. My mother told me my grandmother had a pink decorated kitchen accessories and all. I even have matching table lamps. I wish I could have seen that!
